This latest work “Forever Blue” created as part of my Beachside series is inspired by the colours and textures found just beyond the shoreline. I was drawn to the rich blues and turquoise tones of the water, allowing them to move freely across the canvas. The soft sky and distant horizon sit quietly above, creating a sense of openness and calm, while the loose brushwork reflects the natural rhythm of the sea.
As I layered the paint, I explored what happens beneath the surface — hints of rocks, sea grasses, and shifting sands revealed through earthy browns, sandy creams, and small touches of yellow. These marks are intuitive and expressive, capturing the feeling of water in motion rather than a literal coastal scene. I wanted the painting to feel fluid and alive, much like the ocean itself.
This work is about connection and quiet reflection. It invites the viewer to slow down and be drawn into the gentle movement of the water, evoking the sense of peace and freedom I feel whenever I spend time by the beach.
The canvas is an original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is UNFRAMED. Sides are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic paint. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection
