This striking statement work brings together the sights and sounds and feelings I experienced as I immersed my senses in the natural beauty of the walking track along the Noosa river that winds itself around the tropical forest growth.
When I am trekking around I am stimulating my senses and capturing the feel of the environment, noticing the light, the sounds and the bird songs, the rich colours of the bush foliage, the dark hues against the vibrant blue sky and red brown pine needle carpet of the bushland floor.
When I get back to the house i feel the need to create as my senses are so stimulated and I often just sit and let my mind open, channelling the colours and feelings that I have absorbed. I dont try to be precise I just let it flow without really having a picture of what I want to happen. This new work is accumulation of this. It has the freedom and strength of the unspoilt abstracted landscape as I see and feel it.
The canvas is a one off original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is unframed. Sides are are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic with a touch of pastel and pencil. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection.
