In this work ‘Oceans Edge” I wanted to capture the feeling of standing above a beautiful coastal bay, watching the sea move and shift below. The sweeping blues and turquoise tones draw the eye out across the water, while the waves roll gently toward the sandy shoreline. My signature scribbles appear through the foreground grasses and rocks, adding energy and movement to the scene and bringing a sense of life to the landscape.
I’ve balanced the cool ocean blues with the warm ochres and golden tones of the cliffs, which glow softly against the water. The loose brushstrokes and spontaneous mark-making allow the painting to feel natural and expressive, almost like a memory of a place rather than a literal view. For me, this piece is about the rhythm of the coastline, the meeting of land and sea, the movement of the tide, and the wild beauty that makes these coastal places so special.
The canvas is an original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is UNFRAMED. Sides are are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic paint. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection
