I wanted to express that soft, glowing moment when the afternoon light sweeps across the red earth, bringing out subtle pinks, oranges, and dusty siennas. The openness of the scene allows the land to breathe, while the loose, gestural marks give a sense of life quietly moving beneath the stillness, the heartbeat of the outback itself.
In this piece, I loved working with restraint letting the vast sky and glowing earth speak for themselves. The marks and textures are intuitive, suggesting the traces of wind, scrub, and distant life against the endless horizon.
