Freehand Geo #3 - Framed in Vic Ash

This artwork has a mid century influence and would look beautiful in a modern interior. It has shades of green, and subtle hints of grey and ochre. Many layers were applied to create the textured effect, including a blockout of a heavy neutral ivory tone to balance the colour and create the pebble/totem like shapes. The artwork is framed in a quality Vic ash floating frame made locally in Brunswick and finished with a clear varnish to highlight the wood's natural beauty.
Also works hanging horizontally.

The relationships between colours, the randomness of nature, the necessity of negative space to create balance & harmony (both visually and psychologically) inspires my art.
My paintings are reflective of myself in that I have an expressive, more creative nature that I balance with a reserved and sometimes introverted side.
Each painting I make is intuitive and the colours used will often simply reflect my current mood - all being a joyful & therapeutic practice.
