Inspired by the natural surrounds of Sydney's Northern Beaches, Cass creates large scale, expressive abstract works. Cass allows her intuition and body to guide her art process, with the composition of her pieces evolving in the moment. She works with acrylic paint and mixed mediums to create unique textures and playful interactions of paint on canvas, that mesmerise the viewer. Preferring to work on linen canvas, Cass creates beautiful contrasts between the strong movement and energy of her brush strokes with the negative space of the canvas, allowing the raw and natural texture of the linen to be incorporated into the work.
