More gorgeous flowers with a bit of an abstract feel to them. This piece was inspired from a reference photo by Janis Churchward. It is a bit different to the photo because I saw the main open flower as me or someone similar to me, who is in the midst of making some changes in life and striving to be the person I want to be, and opening up for the joy in life. I am reaching for the top to do what I love, to create and paint pieces I love. I hope this piece resonates with you too. There are plenty of thick textured brush strokes that have depth and feelings behind them as I painted this piece. The piece is a 40cm x 40cm oil painting on cradled wood panel, framed in a black wooden box frame. The total dimensions, including the frame, are 42.5cm x 42.5cm x 4.5cm. It comes ready to hang.
