Inspired by her immediate surrounds she creates works that evoke the fluidity of nature. Her recent foray into Yoga teaching has inspired her to start exploring the human form in the ‘Flesh‘ series. Playing with the balance between positive and negative space allows Cat to traverse the curves of the female body using stippling, a highly technical process that begins and ends with a dot. Through the arrangement and repetition of thousands of these marks each piece is a collection that celebrates women and their feminine wiles. Her artworks depict scenes that leave the viewer feeling as if they have broken a moral taboo by witnessing a deeply intimate moment.
