Artwork Description

This interior encapsulates Mid Century Modern style with a denim twist. As a fan of all things Mid Century, I have a number of vintage furniture items in my home which were the inspiration for this interior (the cabinet, brass plant stand and swivel chair). The cabinet is one of my favourite pieces, with its glass doors and external shelves, perfect for storing books and sentimental items.

This painting was exhibited at Studio on Brunswick earlier this year as part of a Brisbane artist's collective. At the opening night, there was a lot of interest in what was referred to by guests as "the painting within the painting". The painting is a self-portrait in a geometric style used by many mid century artists. Green is my favourite colour, so I had to paint myself in a green dress! And at the time, my hairstyle was asymmetrical which is also reflected in the painting. I hope you like it!

This artwork comes signed front and back and with a certificate of authenticity. It is ready to hang with wire and d-rings.
