When I first met my husband he took me on one of our first dates to Wattamolla which is in the Royal National Park in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney . It was a Friday after work and I remember having absolutely no idea where he was taking me and no idea what Wattamolla was.
We got there when there was not another soul around, the sun was going down in the sky and as we scrambled over the rocks, wading across the water to the beach, the absolute beauty of this hidden gem took my breath away. We had a picnic and got eaten by mosquitoes, and I will never forget the quiet, stunning lagoon with the sea surrounded by rocks and bush. We’ve been back many times since, with the kids and it always brings such joy and such happy memories. My favourite bit about this painting is the people swimming in the lagoon. I hope this painting can symbolise memories for your family as well.
This artwork requires framing. I suggest a white or black frame to highlight the golden sand.
