I felt like painting something bright - something that felt super cheerful and joyful by just being, especially as autumn rolls in. Oranges are believed to bring good luck and prosperity and itβs believed the round shape of the orange represents unity and completeness with the colour representing happiness and joy.
I love the way the bowl is one colour but from shadows becomes four different colours. I also liked that it is still life - something so stationary especially while I run around like a headless chicken getting my kids to all their after school sports.
This artwork requires framing. I suggest an oak frame to highlight the warmth of the oranges.
