Winding Beach Path

Number two in the ‘Windows to a Peaceful Journey’ series, at the top of the small hill you can see a winding path reaching far along the coast. The beach on your left is full of boisterous waves. Stop for a moment, or walk for an hour, the coast is waiting for you.

Catherine is an impressionist painter who paints to capture fleeting moments, to tell the story of a slice of time that only exists for an instant. Each piece is the capture of a single breath, holding within it the transient emotions of a single moment. She started her professional practice in August of 2025 at the completion of a 2 year, 26 work series with a landscape painting themed for each letter of the alphabet. Within those two years her practice moved from minor hobbyist to a recognition of the artist within. Her first impressionist pieces were in 2022 after seeing live demonstrations of plein air artists at Mandurah's Plein Air Down Under.
