While travelling up North I came across a group of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos who were repeatedly fighting and dodging each other to get to some seed. Feathers and wings seemed to be happening all around me in random chaos so I tried to focus on one of these manic individuals and tell the story of cheeky twisted chaos. The spattered paint indicates the movement of wings and feathers to help increase the random drama. This painting won the People’s Choice Award for the Wagait Art Prize in 2019
