Artwork Description

Painting looks great with or without a frame as it has painted edges wrapping the image all the way around the sides.

"Glad to be Here" is an original, imaginary landscape painting

This is just where we want to be.
Spreading the fun, embracing all the joy that comes with it.
The colour and shapes smile as we take in the view.
A landscape of wonder.

Artist Bio

I am an artist living in the hills of Western Australia. I grew up in England with a passion for creating art and went on to study illustration through a graphic design degree.

I have been continuously creating for many years and now work as a full time artist.
For the last few years I have concentrated on painting, enjoying the process of taking the landscape into the realm of an imaginary space.

Recently I have been inspired by the landscape surrounding me in the hills of Western Australia, creating a space with the feeling and textures familiar to me. I enjoy playing with combinations of colour, space and textures, to create atmosphere and emotion. Some of my work is more playful and slightly surreal, I enjoy the freedom of possibility.

The painting evolves with constant re-evaluation, editing and layering as an intrinsic part of the process. For me it is very important that I embark on each adventure without knowing the destination, to keep the fun and excitement of the journey fresh, and experience the thrill of a new discovery.

I want my work to feel like a moment where the viewer can quietly pause, and experience a snapshot of joyful wonder.

Please enjoy the paintings and let your walls smile!
