Artwork Description

Rich with summer colour and full of fruit bowl charm, “Plum Season” captures a cluster of juicy plums—some whole, some halved to reveal that golden blush within. Painted from life using oils, this piece celebrates the fleeting beauty of seasonal produce.

The background? It’s not just canvas—it’s wrapped in pages of “The Australian”, adding a nostalgic, tactile quality that nods to everyday rituals: fresh fruit, morning news, coffee on the table.

*Plum Season* is a companion to *Fig Season*—both painted in the same scale and spirit. Whether hung solo or side-by-side, this artwork brings a vibrant, story-rich presence to any space.
