Cathryn Scott Ali is a visual Artist based in Adelaide.
Her style ranges from abstract to semi- abstract.
Starting from ‘real life’ her paintings are then layered into abstraction, creating interesting underpainting of colours, line and occasional script.
The paintings typically comprise at least three or four layers to create depth, texture and movement.
Cathryn believes that there needs to be a relationship between the painting and the viewer before the art is ready to change ownership.
She feels that people should find something new and intriguing in her artwork every day.
Cathryn uses the best quality canvasses. Oil, acrylics and mediums to ensure lasting quality.
She has had many exhibitions and previously curated her own gallery for 12 years.
She also spent a year in Italy gaining inspiration from the culture and history of many regions of the country.
