A portrait of an elderly, wrinkled man, wearing a turban. He has a distant look in his eyes, as if a million miles away.
In this portrait, I have used an irredescent bronze paint base and overpainted with redblack. I then preceded to wipe out the features of the face using my fingers. This gives a beautiful soft glow and the appearance of the "chiaroscuro" technique. The piece has been framed in a box frame which brings the overall measurement to 43.4cm x 53.5cm x 3.
