Artwork Description

Australia’s Blue Phase Common Tree Snake is a beautiful little non-venomous snake that eats mostly skinks and frogs. It doesn’t have much to defend itself with, not having an aggressive nature and will barely leave a mark if it has to try to bite. The best it can do is let off a bit of an odour. We have the green tree snakes here but I’ve never been lucky enough to spy this pretty blue one.

Artist Bio

Welcome! I’m glad to share my art with you.

Since 2000, I’ve enjoyed a successful career as a tattoo artist, winning Australia’s Best Overall Male for one of my bodysuits. I’ve honed my craft among a devoted band of much-loved clientele while running one of Australia’s oldest and most prominent tattoo studios, Wild at Heart Tattoo (Brisbane), with my partner, Bernhard Olszewski, since 1993.

Living in a semi-rural area with my family and lots of animals, wild and domestic, my love of nature is my favourite inspiration. Walking down to the creek, watching birds on the dam, or visiting the possums at night - these moments are at the core of my art.
