This painting uses iconography, to play with the notion of double meanings and hidden meanings, in both our visual and written language. The shape of the letter U refers to an industrial or city landscape, in which we sometimes feel hidden, and need to remind ourselves we are here, the title then becoming a mantra to lift us up. Seeing U in everything can be about how you feel about yourself, or someone else who is always on your mind.
