An intuitive expressive painting inspired by memories of nature walks with my father when I was young. I was also thinking about how humans interact with trees and the urgent need to conserve trees, because trees give us oxygen and improve air quality, they preserve the soil and water, and support wildlife.
From a mental health perspective, here is something wonderful about being among trees. The feeling of quiet which makes us stop and listen. A walk among trees leaves you feeling restored, bringing calm to your mind and body. I sought to capture the vibrance of nature, combined with the soothing feeling of pausing during a walk to commune with the trees and soak up the serenity.
I can't imagine living without trees, can you imagine it?
