The Sydney Harbour Scene

View of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, from Bradley's Head. Bradley's Head is a place we often love to go in the afternoon to watch the sun set over the Harbour bridge, and the boats scurrying around the harbour making the most of what remains of the day.
I painted/sketched out preliminary drawings from life, and used these in my studio to create this painting. The time spent painting en plein air makes a difference to the final painting, helping to capture the essence of life. The movement and atmosphere at the location.
