Hi, I am a photographer and image maker.
My photography is analogue. I work using traditional practices (in unconventional ways) working on film. 120 format.
There is no digital post production work with my work. I work on film stock and in camera. What I shoot is what I print.
My work is slow, taking up to 30yrs for each image to manifest.
I often experiment with aged film stocks to force an imperfect unique mark; this is intentional.
My subject is often of the sea and sea scapes. I have an obsession with waves, the movement of sea sets. I enjoy getting lost, wondering about the journey of a wave, where it started, and where it ends.
My work is emotive, often with movement. This is intentional and influenced by the impressionists art movement.
Limited prints are printed, large scale (1mtr +) on archival quality stocks, resulting in a paintily, water colour finish.
I print on a hand made archival paper stock, that has been made by the same paper mill for over 200yrs.
Works are large format, professionally printed by one of the industries best photographic labs .
My current work is exploring of were land ends and the connection to coast, while recording the movement and continuance of the sea state of our coastlines.

Earlier this year I held my first solo exhibition.
