Artwork Description

Depicting the rawness and mixed emotions of government enforced Covid-19 (Corona Virus) home isolation during the months of March - June 2020 in Victoria, Australia. This piece expresses the chaos that many felt as the world as we knew it crumbled and yet also captures the joy and ease of life slowing down and the spaciousness that resulted.

Artist Bio

Based in Torquay on Victoria's Surfcoast, I have been developing my painting style for much of my life. After training in realistic art styles, I threw 'realism' out the window favouring the fun, flow and excitement of abstract painting - blending styles with an experimental approach. I love using bright colours with beautiful contrasting textures to create emotional depth in my paintings. I play with different mediums however predominately use Acrylic paints.

I combine my passions for colour, abstract, spirituality and nature in my art combining abstract with impressionism, expressionism and surrealist styles. Many of my artworks are nature or spirituality inspired with experimentation being at the forefront of my evolution as an artist. I seek inspiration in nature as well my own personal journey - the unfolding experience of our human souls.

I regularly have been creating art commissions over the last few years - predominatly reflecting my current works involving 30+ layers of paint creating dynamic imagery and emotional depth.

Enjoy my art.
