Artwork Description

Spring brings new growth and direction – feelings of hope and creativity – along with letting go of the old.

This painting is made up of 30+ layers of paint painted over the season of Spring 2020 and is part of my 4 painting ‘Seasons of 2020 Series’ Inspired by the changing colours of spring at Point Addis Basin in combination with the mixed emotion brought about by Covid-19 during 2020.

Artist Bio

Based in Torquay on Victoria's Surfcoast, I have been developing my painting style for much of my life. After training in realistic art styles, I threw 'realism' out the window favouring the fun, flow and excitement of abstract painting - blending styles with an experimental approach. I love using bright colours with beautiful contrasting textures to create emotional depth in my paintings. I play with different mediums however predominately use Acrylic paints.

I combine my passions for colour, abstract, spirituality and nature in my art combining abstract with impressionism, expressionism and surrealist styles. Many of my artworks are nature or spirituality inspired with experimentation being at the forefront of my evolution as an artist. I seek inspiration in nature as well my own personal journey - the unfolding experience of our human souls.

I regularly have been creating art commissions over the last few years - predominatly reflecting my current works involving 30+ layers of paint creating dynamic imagery and emotional depth.

Enjoy my art.
