Artwork Description

I've painted this from a woman's perspective, but the inspiration behind this artwork is relevant to a person with any gender identity. I wanted to paint the idea of being content with your true self in the girl's expression. Looking out of the window brings in a mixed set of feelings, such as hope, courage, to name a few. Being a genuinely beautiful person is a significant challenge in the modern world. Having faced so many phases of life, I have hands-on experience with this. This painting is a tribute to all such beautiful people. Also, I want this painting to give courage to everyone who is trying their best. No matter what your situation is, there is a way. Try to take charge of finding that way. Trust me, you'll be so content to be yourself in every step you take in that journey.

This will fit beautifully in any of your living spaces. This could also be a great gift to anyone valuable in your life. This abstract art work contains acrylic painting from a range of brushes. Also, it has some patterns inspired by ancient Sri Lankan art and crafts.

Artist Bio

I have loved painting since I was a child, ever since I could first hold a brush. Art has always been my way of expressing emotion, curiosity, and beauty — a passion that has stayed with me through every chapter of life.

After representing my school in many art competitions, I continued to explore different mediums and styles over the years. My artistic journey has evolved alongside a rewarding career as a Full Stack Software Engineer, where I’ve been able to bring my creative eye into front-end design and user experience — blending art and technology in meaningful ways.

Now, I’m taking a couple of years off work to be with my family and reconnect deeply with my love for painting. Each artwork is a reflection of this balance between creativity and mindfulness — moments of stillness, colour, and connection.

I also cherish nurturing creativity at home, raising two young artists — my primary school–aged sons — who inspire me daily with their imagination and joy in art.
