Artwork Description

Vanaspati means the lord of the forest in my mother tongue. This special tree represents a very powerful human being. That person could be a great teacher who has arrived at their destiny. All the beautiful flowers and leaves represent the great wisdom the teacher has shared with the world and the great qualities they have depicted. The creepers reaching the earth from the great tree represent the generations that come after the great teacher to take his legacy and wisdom to the future.

Artist Bio

I have loved painting since I was a child, ever since I could first hold a brush. Art has always been my way of expressing emotion, curiosity, and beauty — a passion that has stayed with me through every chapter of life.

After representing my school in many art competitions, I continued to explore different mediums and styles over the years. My artistic journey has evolved alongside a rewarding career as a Full Stack Software Engineer, where I’ve been able to bring my creative eye into front-end design and user experience — blending art and technology in meaningful ways.

Now, I’m taking a couple of years off work to be with my family and reconnect deeply with my love for painting. Each artwork is a reflection of this balance between creativity and mindfulness — moments of stillness, colour, and connection.

I also cherish nurturing creativity at home, raising two young artists — my primary school–aged sons — who inspire me daily with their imagination and joy in art.
