Carefree and whimsical but embodied with intricate detail and heavy emotion, Chanaka Ariyaratna’s work is often described as a paradox of artistic expression.
Inspired by nature’s sublime architecture, Ariyaratna’s art is birthed from soft strokes and simplicity that flourish into a glorious celebration of overt emotion.
An architect by day and artist by nature Ariyaratna often finds himself favouring equine, celestial and surreal themes in his mixed-medium pieces.
