Artwork Description

The Remembering

The Remembering is an intuitive abstract work exploring the mysterious feeling of something emerging from within.

Deep plum, crimson, dusty rose and warm earthy tones move through the canvas in soft, layered forms, creating a sense of depth and movement. At the centre, touches of gold appear almost like fragments of something being revealed — drawing the eye into a form that feels both delicate and powerful.

There is something sensual and almost otherworldly about the piece. The central form remains undefined, allowing it to shift between something seen, something felt, and something simply sensed.

Created intuitively, the painting unfolded through layers rather than a predetermined image. What emerged feels like a quiet unveiling — something beneath the surface beginning to reveal itself.

The Remembering invites you to sit with that feeling of recognition: when something cannot quite be explained, yet somehow feels familiar.

Not everything that emerges is new.
Some things are simply returning to the surface.

Artist Bio

I’m an Australian abstract artist creating intuitive, contemporary works inspired by nature, emotion and the beauty of organic imperfection.

My practice is guided by intuition and a deep appreciation for earthy, muted tones, layered textures and natural forms. I’m drawn to creating pieces that feel organic and grounded, often incorporating subtle botanical and nature-inspired elements into my work.

Rather than beginning with a completely defined outcome, I allow each piece to unfold intuitively. I see painting as a way of expressing and moving through emotion, with each layer building its own depth, texture and energy.

I believe art is something that can be felt as much as it is seen. My intention is to create pieces that bring warmth, calm and a sense of connection to a space, while leaving room for each person to experience and interpret the work in their own way.

My work is ultimately about creating a feeling — something quiet, tactile and meaningful that can become part of the energy of a home
