Charlotte Penny, is a local artist from Newcastle, who has had a passion for creating art since a young age.
Charlotte’s artworks are inspired by Charlotte and her husband Matthew’s first born baby girl, Alice, who was born sleeping. Her artworks showcases glimpses of Alice in her very own ‘Wonderland’, alongside other boys and girl’s who have been taken away too soon.
Charlotte uses acrylic paints onto stretched canvas. To finish, they are framed with Tasmanian oak or pine.
These artworks are created to bring awareness to this tough yet common subject, and to always say Alice’s name and the names of all the other babies lost too soon.
