Artwork Description

Limestone Coast Queer Art Trail Exhibition (Mount Gambier)

Inspired by the future doctors studying medicine at Flinders University in Mount Gambier, this series is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and quiet determination of women pursuing their dreams in rural South Australia. Each portrait, drawn in charcoal and pastel on watercolour paper, captures a moment of reflection, honouring the inner world of these women who have sacrificed so much to care for others.

I invite you to read an article that was published with ABC that celebrates the exhibitions success for the LGBTQIA+ community in rural South Australia:

Artist Bio

Chelsea works as a registered psychologist for the Education Department, based in the picturesque rural town of Mount Gambier, South Australia. In the beginning of 2025, she relocated with her two daughters, and four dogs after her husband received an offer to study medicine at Flinders University. Amid the chaos of parenting and life in a small-town community, Chelsea finds inspiration to create artwork rich with emotion, passion, and heart.
