Inspired by Louisa’s photograph Mbili (“two” in Swahili), this work honours the quiet strength, resilience, and beauty of the Turkana women, adorned, grounded, unshakable. Created as part of a joint exhibition exploring roots and reconnection, Mbili reflects two artists, two women (Louisa & I), one shared moment of stillness and power, a dialogue between image and paint, history and heartbeat.
