Artwork Description

Being from Geelong, which is surrounded by world renowned beaches, I am inspired by the roads towards the water. The Great Ocean Road, the surf coast and the Bellarine Peninsula. The bright, flurescent colours depict Summer days, travelling with family and friends, leaving cities and business behind and heading towards the joy of the water and wide sandy beaches.
*this work pairs well with my other work- beach road.

Cherie Roessler is a Geelong based artist, growing up on the Bellarine Peninsula and heavily influenced by the ocean.
Cherie works with multiple mediums, creating intuitively in order to see where the marks take her.
Predominantly working on abstracts and portraiture, Cherie fuses her love of vibrant colour and celebrating strong female figures. She utilises art making as a meditation tool and a way to tap into her inner self.
