Artwork Description

This artwork was originally created for a live theatre performance. The themes related to loss of a child. I related to this, as I have my own experience with miscarraige and family members who have lost a child.
I wanted to convey the pain, but also the change that happens to a person through grief. That the child will always be a part of the mother and that, through our connection to the earth and all of it's beings, we are united in spirit.
It is a hard hitting topic to explore, but a trauma that many people endure.
I wanted to represent how we are bound through our shared experience and that you are never alone.
* This artwork is created on environmentally conscious stretched canvas.
