Artwork Description

I have been inspired by a wonderful dancer in England, named Ailsa McPhee. She utilises dance as a way to lift her spirits and to shake off any cares that she has in her life. She has become a sensation, pairing dance with inspirational talks about wellness.
I was reminded, as I saw Ailsa dance in the streets of London, of the dancers at a festival in Geelong- the Pako Festa. It is a multicultural festival and there is always a lot of colour, movement and fun. A parade, dance instruction and art are all on the agenda. This dancer is merged from the dancers I have seen and known. She is in mid-dance, twirling and winking to somebody watching on. Perhaps a child, or someone trying to dance along. She is kind, vibrant, joyful and radiant, and always encourages others to dance along and enjoy life. Perhaps you are, or you know someone like that in your life.
