As The Sun Sets

During our Summer in Australia we have the most amazing sunsets. This painting was from my view of the Ballarat skies in late January 2021. The gorgeous pinks turning to mauves with that beautiful bright yellow was just too good to pass up getting a canvass out and painting. I have used some golf in the sun's colours and at night this painting really shines as if you are looking at the sun setting every time.

Cheryl paints to allow colours shapes and textures to blend to create their own story.
Cheryl has been influenced by art all her life. As a child, her father was brilliant at drawing and this is where her initial interest started. She has been painting since high school and like many, raising children and managing her florist business meant her painting took a back step.

Cheryl has always been interested in design, having studied interior design and also studied Art at Melbourne University as well as other art courses over the years.

Happily retired, Cheryl is dedicating her time to her artistic abilities with paint to resume one of her lifelong interests.
