Artwork Description

This painting comes from exploring and making field studies of the vast ocean to the surrounding shoreline that hugs it. Having lived and travelled around Australia this subject is dear to my heart and was a pleasure to paint. In the studio I extract and rearrange key elements from my studies to form a delicate balance. The palette is made up of various blues and tones with a tinge of green turquoise hidden away to be discovered!

'Sight Sea' is a part of my Ocean Road Series. It refers to the fabulous coastal roads and an iconic Australian 'road trip’, a much cherished right of passage. The inspiration for 'Sight Sea' is the view experienced as you approach the shoreline either through the car window driving adjacent to the beach or approaching it from a hidden path where a slow reveal if enjoyed throw the foliage.

This beautiful work is made all the more intriguing by it's textured and free spirited evolution that would be a wonderful addition to any space with soft textured furnishings or perhaps a minimalist environment where you want an artwork that will 'POP.'

This artwork is painted across 2 canvases which makes up the diptych. Both canvases will be shipped in the one box.

It is created from a combination of considered marks referenced from field studies using acrylic paints and line work in pencil and marker.

PLEASE NOTE - FRAMES NOT INCLUDED.

This original painting is signed on the front CAH, with full signature and titled on the back and art both wired ready to hang either touching or separately.

Commission enquiries for this collectable and popular art are most welcome.

“I’ve lived a little. I’ve travelled a lot. My work is an expression of life experiences good times and bad. I begin with a feeling and end wherever the music and the paint takes me. I’m not trying to answer life’s riddles, it’s more like… this is how I’m feeling."
