Artwork Description

As a botanical artist I love painting Australian flora. I could not resist the heart shaped leaves of the beautiful Redbox, or Eucalyptus polyanthemos. I arranged them in a grid pattern which gives them a modern aesthetic. A perfect addition of nature to your living, lounge, or bedroom, a lovely way to bring the outdoors inside for a calming effect for everyone.

Artist Bio

Cheryl is a natural history artist, painting plants and insects in watercolour, on paper and vellum. She particularly enjoys painting Australian native plants and insects, and more recently has been focusing on threatened and endangered species. Cheryl teaches both botanical and insect illustration. She hopes that through her painting and teaching, she will encourage people to look at the natural world with curiosity and fascination and therefore be more inclined to look after it.

Cheryl has won several awards in recent years including Best in Show at the BASA exhibition in 2015 and at the Wildlife and Botanical Artists’ exhibition in 2017. Her works are held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas. Cheryl has held two solo exhibitions.
