Artwork Description

This oil painting is part of my " Mother Nature" Garden Series which was inspired by my Mothers Garden. Both Mum and Dad were amazing gardeners. This patch of Freesias, Alison and Pig Face were struggling to grow because of the severe drought and water restrictions; however Mum is always inventive and watered them with grey water from the laundry. They thrived and bloomed.
I enjoy drawing, photographing and painting my mothers garden when visiting. We spend a lot time talking about past 'gardens" and slowly make our way around her garden, enjoying the history of her plants. I cherish the time we spend together in her garden.
