This graceful woman feels almost timeless as the soft evening light halo's her face in contrast to the lace-like abstracted garden that surrounds her. She is influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and the flowing grace that these women seem to carry within. It is that sense of inner strength and knowing that is that guiding energy that flows through her.
Exploring this idea of feminine beauty and inner strength is an ongoing focus in my art that has evolved through an exploration of Goddess imagery. The spiritual feminine connections that evolved through researching imagery of the Maddona have been the basis of my ongoing exploration of the divine feminine.
