Artwork Description

Motion is most closely associated with music and dance. A piece of art can have motion or an underlying beat that leads your eye to view a choreography in process.
It is dependent on the elements and principles of art, rhythm, curve lines , colour, balance and space.
The colours and curve lines are working together to impart a feeling of movement.

Artist Bio

I explore the elements of art--lines, shapes, space, colours, and the aesthetics of the common and the ordinary. I play with the juxtaposition of geometry and the idea of the golden ratio and true beauty. Art is about self-expression because it is essentially about trying to put an idea into a form that the artist and others can come to terms with, just like poets, musicians, actors, and visual artists, who all have a desire to express what one feels and create something of significant value. There is a universal desire to connect with others in some way; to tell them about one's self. Creativity is fun; and my work is an exploration of nature and music. The thrill of mixing colours on a palette, applying paint to a canvas, and passing the hours in a studio with my favourite music playing in the background, all these allow me to joyfully create pieces with vivid patterns and a bold colour palette. The important subject of my paintings are the expression and the sincerity of my soul understanding that I am a human being, just like any other human being on earth. I believe that I, just like others, came to this world to share something impactful, meaningful, and everlasting. I do have a background in Interior Design, and through this, coupled with my vintage-retro aesthetic, I'm able to show my viewers the kinship I see between nature and the universe.
