Artwork Description

An exploration of cosmic duality, this piece titled Enchanted Jungle presents a surreal landscape where opposing forces find harmony. The dense, vibrant foliage acts as a chaotic center, meticulously contained by a structured checkered frame. With the sun and moon anchoring opposing sides, the painting invites the viewer to contemplate the balance between consciousness (day) and the subconscious (night). 🌗✨

Artist Bio

I grew up in Surrey, England but have dual nationality of Uk and Australia, so as a child would often visit family in Australia down the East Coast. I studied fashion and textile print design at Central Saint Martins in London and Southampton University in Winchester, before spending eight years working with London Fashion Week brands.

Three years ago, I relocated to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, where life has slowed down. I now enjoy the surfing, beach and nature walks lifestyle, all of which greatly influence my artistic practice.

My work is vibrant and joyful, full of movement, texture, and colour. I use a variety of mediums—oil paint, oil sticks, gouache, acrylic, pencil, and pens—to create rich textures and dynamic brushstrokes within each piece. Green is my favourite colour and often takes centre stage in my art.

I continue to apply the skills I learnt in my fashion jobs through my sustainable clothing brand, which is made from second-hand and scrap fabrics. The process of collaging fabrics together has influenced my approach to art, as working within constraints sparks a different kind of creativity. Sometimes, I paint directly from the designs I’ve created with fabric, making my creative process feel like a continuous, circular journey.
