Mona Choo is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is driven by her long-term research into the topic of consciousness. Her scientific and metaphysical interest in the subject have led to an unusual approach to her work, where theories of quantum mechanics and multi-dimensions, sacred geometry and plenty of self-reflection come together to inform much of her practice. Choosing to focus on her creative process without a clear end- product in sight is often how Choo embarks on new work. This liberates her from any attachment to an outcome and instead, allows her to freely experiment with combining techniques and exploring materials with the aim of achieving the most affective way for the audience to experience the concept.
