Cherry Blossom was inspired in, of all places, Glasgow Scotland on a cold late spring morning. I was there with a fellow artist and students on a UK paint out.
We had a photo shoot at the botanical gardens when I was struck by this galling display of colour which was defying the elements, on this overcast day, to rain on its parade. Now I am not known as a flora artist, but sometimes nature has a way of delivering subject up to you, and defies you, no demands you, to PAINT ME. Well it would be remiss of me as an artist to not rise to the challenge. So I present to you my take on Cherry Blossom.
