Artist Bio

An award winning Fine Art Landscape Photographer based in Perth Western Australia. I grew up drawing and painting and later discovered photography as an art form through travel. I further developed my vision through stints as a commercial and architectural photographer. However, I found photographic fine art in the digital era extremely fulfilling as I could combine drawing, painting and photography in the one process and the freedom to express myself beyond a single photograph. The use of digital medium format equipment enables me to record an almost endless array of colour tones and therefore giving me the ability to interpret my vision into large and compelling prints.

My photographic art is both an exploration of new places and my own emotional, creative and personal growth. I am drawn to expansive land and seascapes with a sense of infinite horizons. A mental adjustment takes place with the clearing of emotional and physical clutter of day to day life. Discovering the pulse of the environment and its character forms a deeper connection. My visual voice can wonder and create without judgement and a sense of endless curiosity.

Chris has exhibited his work across Australia and has won multiple awards internationally. His artworks are held in private and commercial collections across the world including Capella Hotels and Resorts. He also runs creative workshops in Perth Western Australia, and speaks regularly about his art and photographic journey. He continues to explore his visual voice from land and the air around Australia and beyond, interpreting his experiences as a human in this world.
