Photograph on paper
Signed on the front.
This image has been compiled from a few images taken while on the banks of the Pieman River on the West Coast of Tasmania, Australia. The image explores a particular environmental phenomenon called a "Super Mirage." This occurs when warm air is trapped beneath a layer of cold air and shafts of light, reflecting off the water surface of the Pieman River, reflectively beam light upwards. In this case the imagery from the river contained an image of a contorted fish.
The images for this photograph were shot on a Sony RX10 camera and edited using Photoshop and Lightroom. The print is from a collection of digital files that are printed using archival quality inks on acid free paper made from 100% cotton fibres. The printer is large format that take archival quality inks. With 8-10 printer ink cartridges the printer is able to deliver a depth of colour that becomes inherent in the printing process.
