This painting is influenced by the Australian Bush and is set within the local hiking trails close to home. Narrabeen Lakes is a local recreational destination on the Northern Beaches in Sydney.
It is created in style of the Romantic movement to convey a sense of drama with the landscape.

Christina Budden completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2008 at the National Art School, Sydney. Since then she was awarded finalist for various prizes. Including the Paddington Art Prize, (Highly Commended) , Warringah Art Prize, Little Things Art Prize, Lethbridge Small Scale Art Prize, Keeping Company - Manly Art Gallery and Museum, Petite Art Prize, Northern Beaches Art Prize.
