Artwork Description

A flash of colour as little birds fly past in a stand of trees in at local native park.
I was inspired by the beautiful old trees that caught the early autumn afternoon light. This park is home to a variety of native birds, insects and kangaroos.

This work is abstract. Its a multi layered piece in acrylic paint, applied with a palette knife, charcoal and glazes. The blur of colour through the trees could be insects or birds flashing past.

It has been painted on 9ply marine board. It is framed in raw timber with wax coating.
