Artwork Description

I use cutlery at a metaphor for life. Cutlery are easily recognizable and universal objects. They come in all shapes, sizes and materials from wood and plastic to steel and silver.
In this series titled "Everyday Reflections", there are no grand stories, just everyday objects in everyday situations.
Spoons embody a nurturing aspect, cradling moments of comfort and warmth.
The containers are a metaphor for home. A place that is our castle, our stronghold, our retreat from the buffeting of life.
This collection of works are on canvas and framed in light oak. Both canvas and frame have a waxed finish.
