Artwork Description

Acrylic on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Because of the COVID 19 virus this year I couldn't travel to my studio, I didn't have all my materials and I was confined to my house. My creative output was making masks.
The initial stampede to the fabric shops was eventful. People were frustrated, frantic and scared but also funny, generosity and kind.
Eventually I decided to work from home with what I had available and what I could 'click and collect'.
This work is my response to the pandemic. The partial anonymity of masks and the myriad of patterns masks can be made from.
I have also included a touch of Spring, because it brings with it the end of winter and the start of something new.
