Birdwing Caterpillar with Vase

This painting is one of a series based on my collection of old hand painted vases, hand embroidered doilies and my love of bugs and other critters. It is typical of my use of bright, strong colours in my work. It is in a stained wooden frame.

Christine has attended numerous informal art classes and workshops, however, she is largely self taught. She enjoys painting within a variety of genres, particularly portraiture and still life. Her main interests are in maritime and marine themes and Natural history. She has entered works in art shows and group exhibitions, and is currently experimenting in a variety of mediums. A number of her works are in private collections.
